A unique opportunity, ideal for a PA with excellent billing and financial management skills seeking to step out of a traditional assistant role
hoping to upskill in the direction of practice, legal operations or office management. In this role you would support the management and operation of a leading international practice, working alongside the Practice Manager, Knowledge, Operations, HR, Business Development and Finance professionals.
Key responsibilities of this position are split between providing mentorship and training to the wider PA team, overseeing and administering the matter lifecycles of the department in tandem with the PA team, and supporting special projects as needed by the Management Team.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Support the billing needs of 5 Partners. This will include:
- Manage/oversee the billing process for identified clients / sectors / matters and identify process improvements including the implementation of new initiatives.
- Assist fee earners and clients with cost-reporting requirements
- Act as a key point of contact for department enquires about processes, compliance, and best practice in relation to billing;
- Assist with the on-boarding of new support staff including taking part in training and involving relevant contacts to support the success of the new starter;

The Requirements:
Listed below are the minimum expectations for technical skills, experience and qualifications that individuals need to meet in order to perform their role:
- Previous experience with and confidence in managing the legal billing process;
- The ability to approach your role with curiosity, taking the initiative to develop your skills and lift those around you.
- IT savvy with demonstrated proficiency and confidence using Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and legal matter management systems;
- Strong knowledge of the legal billing process with the aptitude for managing significant and complex bills;
- Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work to multiple projects;
- Excellent communication skills.
