The Perth-based office of a leading international law firm now has a wonderful opportunity for an intermediate to senior level Legal Assistant!
Due to team growth, the Disputes practice is seeking a dedicated legal administrator to support two Partners and four lawyers in collaboration with three other support team members.
The practice covers general litigation matters including class actions, commercial disputes, insolvency, and corporate crime. The team culture has been described as cohesive and friendly, with a supportive and approachable environment.
The firm are hoping to welcome a Legal Assistant looking for a stable, long term 'work home' where they can engage in learning and growth over the years.
Day to day tasks will include:
- Attending to high volume billing and financial administration;
- Matter and document management including opening, updating and closing files and typing from dictation;
- Proactively attending to emails, actioning where possible;
- Creating reports;
- Arranging professional learning and accreditation requirements;
- Arranging travel and diarising meetings.
The Requirements:
Listed below are the minimum expectations for technical skills, experience and qualifications which individuals need to meet in order to perform their role:
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience in a commercial law firm supporting at Partner level;
- Demonstrated proficiency attending to a very busy billing environment, tech-savvy, with excellent attention to detail;
- A proactive approach with the desire to take ownership of the role as a key team member;
- A flexible approach, happy to take on both large and small tasks and collaborate with others.
