The Opportunity
We are seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join the Banking & Finance team of an Australian mid tier law firm. As part of a full-service national law firm, the team collaborates with specialists across tax structuring, M&A, property, IP and technology, insolvency, planning, construction, and other key practice areas, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to complex matters.
About the Team
The team provides comprehensive advice on a wide range of financing and security arrangements, including real estate finance, corporate and acquisition finance, restructuring, project and infrastructure finance, structured trade and receivables, derivatives, and Islamic finance.
They handle a diverse portfolio of high-calibre transactions, acting for ‘Big 4’ domestic and international banks, leading private lenders, and blue-chip sponsors. The team advises on significant local and cross-border financings across various industries, delivering commercially focused solutions.

The ideal candidate
The firm is looking for a lawyer with a minimum of four years’ experience in a reputable Banking & Finance practice. The successful candidate will have a strong background representing both local and international banks, as well as non-bank lenders and sponsors.
Experience in handling financing transactions is essential, with a particular focus on real estate finance and corporate acquisition finance.
Candidates should demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong drafting abilities, and a client-centric approach to their work.
