Senior Associate – Projects & Government
The Opportunity:
Join a highly regarded national law firm with a strong track record of advising government clients across all three levels – federal, state, and local. The Sydney office is growing, and are looking for a technically excellent Senior Associate (or high-performing Associate ready for the next step) to be part of the dynamic Commercial practice.
You’ll be part of a nationally integrated team that is already a major player in federal procurement and rapidly expanding its footprint in the NSW government sector. This role is your chance to help build out and service a thriving client base at the state and local level and work with clients across education, transport, health, insurance, reinsurance, climate change and renewable energy projects. From advising on procurement policies to running CLEs for government departments, the team are trusted advisors to agencies navigating complex regulatory and commercial frameworks.

Who we're looking for:
We're seeking a lawyer who is technically strong and commercially savvy to contribute to the growth of the practice, and act as a trusted advisor to clients.
You will likely have:

Experience in a government or projects practice at a top or mid-tier firm

Strong contract drafting skills with a high degree of attention to detail and rigour

Excellent academic credentials and training

An ability to think strategically and work independently, while also contributing to team success

A desire to take ownership and help grow a practice — both through technical delivery and relationship-building
