A premier opportunity awaits for a driven and accomplished Business Development & Marketing Manager to join the dynamic team at this well-regarded law firm. This role, based in the Middle East, offers significant responsibility and involvement in strategic BD and marketing initiatives across the region, working closely with local, regional, and global teams to achieve excellence in client relationship management and market visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Pitching and Market Intelligence
- Develop and manage high-quality pitches, proposals, and capability statements that align with global best practices.
- Oversee and update the Middle East Proposals Tracker, analyze win/loss data, and contribute to global opportunities tracking.
- Conduct and synthesize market intelligence, research clients and market trends, and support BD initiatives.
- Negotiate and coordinate sponsorships that align with regional and global BD strategies.
- Manage end-to-end client events, including drafting invitations, managing communications, and overseeing event debriefs and follow-ups.
- Drive the effective use of the firm's database to support event success, providing training and support as needed.
- Oversee the legal directory submissions process, including drafting and coordinating submissions and interviews.
- Ensure internal and external communication of wins, awards, and key developments, in collaboration with the Head of BD & Marketing.
- Elevate the firm’s profile by proactively managing relationships with legal and trade publications.
- Oversee creation of tailored marketing collateral such as office brochures and experience statements.
- Manage client alerts and publications, coordinating office news and updates for local, regional, and global circulation.
- Ensure that web content is current, reflecting the expertise of the firm’s regional network.
- Share best practices within the regional BD team, attending weekly team meetings.
- Support the Head of BD & Marketing in delivering strategic initiatives such as regional BDM plans, budgets, and office retreats.
- Lead cross-selling initiatives in partnership with practice groups and global teams to drive new opportunities.
- 4-6 years of BD experience within a law firm environment.
- Strong background in drafting, editing, and producing high-quality proposals with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with high proficiency in English.
- A proactive approach to project management, with proven ability to lead both local and global projects.
- An understanding of the legal partnership model and the unique challenges in delivering legal services.
- Strong team spirit and the ability to inspire and support colleagues at all levels.
